Son of a monkey's uncle. I signed up for the cheapest typepad account last night. Then, I went about trying to figure it all out. I'm sick of blogger's issues. I want typepad so I can have categories. I also want an easy way to have a changeable photo on the top banner. I just like having a picture.ok? So, hubby and I are looking through all the details and then come to find out you can't have a photo in your banner unless your have a more expensive plan. It's just a photo ya'll. Free blogger will let you (very complicatedly) add a stinkin' photo. So, now it appears that there is some blogger dude that has figured out a way to do categories in free blogger. We are investigating this.

Not to say I'm lazy, even though I totally am, but I'm really appreciating you and beki and alicia for doing all this work of figuring out blogger vs typepad while I sit on my ass and watch.
Am I being too honest?
In anycase, I am considering (after I puchase my url) purchasing moveable type; but its $70 for a person and $200 for a business. And damn, that's expensive.
Yeah, I did the free trial thing for a couple of months on typepad and then figured I'd rather spend the extra money on fabric than on paying some company to host my blog. I do love all the organizational features of typepad, but it seems to me that it's only a matter of time before blogger catches up, don't you think?
wordpress.com is free and has categories. It doesn't allow you to add a photo to your header, there are about 20 different themes to choose from. The best thing is the ability to easily edit and manage the sidebar, adding links, rearranging the order of things etc.
Now wordpress huh? Ah, man. I don't know what I want to do now. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for the input everyone. I thank you for lazy ole capello too. ;-)
